TECHNOLOGY
Digital Healthcare is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and its OptoMize product for systematic population based healthcare screening was awarded the Microsoft Healthcare User Group (MSHUG) award for Acute Care - Clinical/Patient Information Systems in 2006

AUTOMATED PATIENT CAREPATHWAY
OptoMize uses a unique Automated Care Pathway which minimizes administration requirements, time and costs, reduces the chances of errors and improves patient care, providing faster return on investment. The automated care pathway is configurable to the local needs of a screening service. The Automated Care Pathway enables full central patient call/recall, the automatic generation of a wide range of patient and clinical correspondence which can be printed, sent and/or emailed to the right person at the right time as the result of certain pre-defined and selectable electronic triggers being activated.

REPORTING
OptoMize provides a comprehensive set of reporting and analytical tools to support the information needs of both local screening programmes and the National Screening Programme.

The reporting facilities include, but are not limited to:

• NSC Annual Report
• Local Delivery Plan (LDP)
• Hitting the Targets Reports

Reports have drill down functionality to the individual patient records that make up the numbers and the reports are exportable into formats such as xml, excel, PDF.

QUALITY ASSURANCE
OptoMize contains in built and automated Quality Assurance mechanisms, to ensure a percentage (e.g.10%) of normal cases and 100% of positive cases are sent to the QA/secondary grading queue and is enhanced further with tertiary grading queues such as arbitration grading, for a final outcome, where differences do exist between primary and secondary grading.

OPHTHALMOLOGY INTEGRATION
OptoMize has an integrated secondary care module for Ophthalmology grading, which further minimizes administration, negates the need to archive off patients, reduces the chances of errors, improves efficiency of referrals and supports patient choice.

UNIQUE CAMERA INTEGRATIONS
OptoMize uses unique direct camera integrations with the ENSPDR approved list of cameras, negating the need and use of camera manufacturer software or folder capture to be present. Digital Healthcare's software takes ownership of the image data as soon as the capture button is pressed meaning that image capture works uniquely fast, allowing the images to be reviewed and triaged whilst still connected to the camera, further enhancing the user experience and performance. Digital Healthcare believes it is the only company that can offer full camera integration to the ENSPDR listed models.

DATA MIGRATION
Where required, OptoMize can be delivered with pre-populated data using Digital Healthcare's expertise in data extraction and migration from other screening software systems.

HL7 v 3 MESSAGING
OptoMize utilizes proven and referenced HL7 v3 ready software which is available now. Digital Healthcare believes it is the only ENSPDR/PaSA approved supplier that has completed, tested and deployed this technology successfully.

IMPLEMENTATION
The solution is delivered using PRINCE2™ methodology to ensure a successful delivery of the project to time and to budget, whilst at the same time facilitating stakeholder engagement in the project to provide effective understanding, local participation and communication.

TRAINING
The OptoMize solution is implemented with a comprehensive training programme to facilitate knowledge transfer. Training is delivered in a partnership approach to ensure maximum understanding of the solution and its interaction with the operating policies and procedures of the service and, following go live, on-going refresher and new joiner training is provided.
